, I grew up in a small town of 2,500 in central Illinois.
I know small town values and still have those same
values.
My
high school education was at

in Brussels

Having spent time living outside of the
U.S.
, I assure you I love my country and see it as the shining city
on the hill everyone but our President does.
I

Purdue
University
and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Management from
Central
Michigan
University
in 1983.
My
wife, Joyce and I reside in Grand Blanc.
We have three adult children and two new grandchildren.
One of the reasons I am running is to leave this country
a better place for my grandchildren.
My
35 year career as a manager in the auto industry ended abruptly
when the AC Spark Plug plant in Flint
became a parking lot instead of a place of employment.
I know what it is like to lose your job.
I also understand what it is like to lose your pension
and health care, as I have lost both.

Over an almost 35 year career I worked at numerous positions
within the AC Spark Plug Div of GM and the spin-off,
DELPHI
. All of the jobs were salaried, with management of numerous
employees in most of them, at the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd levels
of Management. I managed, at one time, up to 19 Salaried
employees, 280 represented employees, a budget in excess of
$10 million, and capital equipment worth more than $100
million.
